12 Great free verse poems that will make you start to think. The rambling thoughts of a twelve year old!
Have You Ever Thought About eBook Zachary Annanie
This is an impressive selection of a dozen free verse poems by twelve-year-old Zack Annanie. The poems address a dazzling range of themes, from vivid descriptions of nature (A Morning in the Woods, A Winters (sic) Beginning, A Stormy Day), to "Have You Ever Thought About..." inquries into the physical world (Video Games, Climb the Rope, What is Hair), to fanciful descriptions of the pre-teen thought process (Inside My Head). The poems are universally well done, and it is hard to pick a favorite. My three candidates are A Coop From Scratch, The Lines of a Door, and Inside My Head, with the last one edging out the others because of its clever humor.
Annanie has not yet mastered all phases of spelling and punctuation, or the difference between "its" and "it's", but that is not surprising for a writer of his age. (Of course what I marked as errers may just be the creative use of poetic license. But right or wrong, I counted them as careless misteaks, and downgraded the book's rating from five stars to four.) For his next work, I hope young Annnanie gets a proofreader.
The Kindle version of "Have you ever thought about..." is the first edition of the first published work of a promising young poet. Collectors should snap it up and watch it increase in value.

Have You Ever Thought About eBook Zachary Annanie Reviews
I believe Zachary is a very bright, happy twelve year old boy with a great imagination. I enjoyed reading his poetry and hope that he continues writing. I liked all of his poems, but my favorite is the one about his brain. What an imagination!!!
What I love about this young writer, is the way his mind seems to capture the 'sparkle' in the little things. He has a way of appreciating and expressing his kind regard for nature and hard work. What a pleasure it was to read these creative and lively poems!
