I have to tell you up front that I'm a HUGE fan of Mr. Lukeman's writing. I absolutely love the way he weaves historical themes into is fast paced, action packed novels. This particular story definitely keeps you on your toes. Just when you think you know what Nick or Selena are going to do or say, something totally unexpected happends. His writing is quick paced but not to the point he drags tou along. The pace of excitement is perfect. I like the way he brings his characters to life, too. They are just evil enough or just human enough to make them believeable. This story is a definite page turned that will keep you reading late into the night because you won't want to put it down (but you'll gladly pay the prices of being sleepy the next morning!!) Get this book and enjoy the story!! Not to give it away, but it's a definite "cliff hanger"!!Product details

The Solomon Scroll The Project Book 10 (Audible Audio Edition) Alex Lukeman Jack de Golia Alexander Lukeman Books Reviews
Lukeman did not disappoint! I have read some of his previous The Project Books, and this one is right there at the top. Plot is plausible and well developed - keeps the reader guessing. I was already familiar with the characters, so this just added another layer. BTW, even though this is book 10, you can read it as a stand-alone. So, sit down, buckle up, and enjoy the ride!
Good mystery but I felt it was too easy for the characters to find the clues. After the first encounter they should have expected the villain to show up at the next sites. They should have been prepared.
I have no idea how Alex Lukeman feels about being compared to a fictional hack thriller writer in a silly mystery/rom-com television show, but I mean it as a kind of compliment. His books, while formulaic and rather improbable, zip along with adventure and are happily readable, the same way I imagine Richard Castle's books would be if he existed. They are ideal beach/airport thrillers - enjoyable, and disposable.
This one's about an Arab oligarch who secretly worships the demon Moloch (yep, the same demon Ichabod Crane and "Leftenant" Abby Mills destroyed on SLEEPY HOLLOW a couple seasons back!), and believes the Seal of Solomon will give him godlike powers. To that end, he lays a swath of death and destruction to locate Solomon's Tomb - which gets the attention of The Project, the Ultra-Top Secret agency answerable only to The US President for which our heroes work.
I enjoy action thrillers based on Biblical evidence and this doesn't disappoint. I would recommend this and his other novels, but they are not required to enjoy this work.
I am not a proof reader or editor. I judge the book on whether I like it or didn’t like it. This is the first book from this author that I have read and it pulled me into a dangerous fast moving an adventure.
Professor Caprini finds a scroll that covers the time in history that has some interesting characters like Solomon and Queen Sheba. However a despicable character, Nazar Al-bayati, covets the scroll because he thinks that it will lead him to the tomb of Solomon where he hopes to retrieve Solomon’s magic ring. The first scroll indicates that there is a second scroll that assuredly will lead the possessor to the tomb of Solomon and the magic ring.
There is some history involving Solomon’s body bones, and Temple riches that were never found after the destruction of the first Jewish Temple. Nick and his team of black op crew set out to find the Solomon’s Scroll and the adventure starts.
Before it is over there are several gun battles and the introduction of other parties that want the second scroll. An exciting tale that I will give a strong Four Star Review.
I enjoy the Project books - have read several at this point. The premise is always intriguing. Character development well done in my opinion. My one negative in all the books is that I get tired of the descriptions of the physical relationship between two of the characters. Meh. It adds nothing and takes away from the narrative IMHO. Seems like it's just thrown in there so it will be considered a "grown up" book. A better way would be to be more nuanced in handling that and leave more to the imagination. I skip those parts to get back to the action.
Fast-paced action without minute story development. Like others of this genre, author tries to build world-wide tension on the discovery of an ancient artifact. Action heroes have plenty of U.S. Government money to get them to the problems. Just accept that they will be successful and the bad guys will fall. However, on that premise it is an entertaining read.
