Who am I? Journaling For Self Discovery Linda K Lynch 9780972809603 Books
There are so many books in the market that talks about self help or self discovery."Who am I? Journaling for self help" is unique to me in many ways. It has written in very simple yet effective way. English is my second language and on top I am not at all a good reader. I was able to understand and work with it very easily. The questions in every chapters are such a wonderful guide line for self improvement! It helped me to open up and organize my thought, so that I can come up with the best possible answers for my questions. Another interesting thing is, to have your questions answered you can just pick up the topic and read it and it is helpful. Not necessarily have wait untill the end of the book. I also tried one chapter with my 12 years old son and it was heplful to him. it is a great tool for any age (if not younger, then 12 years and older) and any culture. This is a must have book for every family, specially for the parents with pre-teen. Rather then lecturing on life lesson(which can be so tiring), it is easy if you can convince them to read the chapter as needed and work on it. They will solve there own problem.I have to say that Linda Lynch has the power of reaching every people and help out in a very creative and effective way. She has done a briliant job by writing this book. Thank you Linda and I am hoping to see more in future.

Who am I? Journaling For Self Discovery Linda K Lynch 9780972809603 Books Reviews
Love the book. It's warm and human and loving
and most of all helpful as many self-helps are not.
It's also easy to read in bits and pieces, which appeals to me.
Nicely organized. Thank gods. Many self published books
are also not edited well. Yours is not one of them. So
kudos to you --
Linda has done an incredible job in identifying the core issues that limit us in realizing our potential and understanding our purpose and who we really are as an individual; mentally, physically and emotionally. She teaches you how to listen to what your body tells you, how your beliefs effect you, and how to use your personal power ... just to name a few nuggets! In short, her book and workshops take you on a well thought out step-by-step journey to self-discovery. This is a `must do' if you are interested in identifying and resolving your limiting mind, body, and spirit paradigms.
"Who am I" by Linda Lynch gets a "wow" from me. I witnessed much of Linda's self growth as she was contemplating the writing of a self-help book during her own healing experience so I know the book was well thought out. I found out by following the book myself that journaling IS a powerful tool. This book is great at explaining the what's, why's and how's of discovering your personal story through the power of journaling. The book itself is laid out in an organized, easy step by step manner. The tools and the journaling exercises are easy to find and understand. The book to me felt like Linda found a wonderful way to find herself and then had the thoughtfulness to pass her method on to the rest of us. As Linda shared with me, I share with you- "May your journey to be yourself be an exciting adventure!"
A friend suggested that I borrow her copy of "Who Am I?" and I made polite excuses not to -- I am not one to want to journal or look at "self-help" guides/programs as a way to think about myself and my life. She insisted so I gave in just to get her off my back-- and I am truly glad I did.
This book is not your typical fluffy, philosopical, therapy-like guide. It is a TOOL for helping you to look at who you are, where you are, and where you want to be in a very entertaining, simple to follow way that got even a naysayer like myself to buy in and keep reading, writing and thinking.
The book is well written, easy to read and follow, and draws you in with great, "real" examples to get you started. It is based on you looking at your answers to very thought-provoking questions that you actually have fun answering. More than once I found myself anxious to re-read what I was writing before I even finished putting the words down, not sure where I was headed but always impressed by where I ended up and the new understandings I had gained.
I cannot say anthing more than get this book -- it will change the way you see yourself and make you realize what you really want and just how good you are. (I know -- sounds too good to be true -- but it isn't!)
Each of us have had life experiences when we are in a fog, lost, depressed, anxious, hanging on by a shred and this book holds the answers of how to meet these experiences that everyone has, analyze them, work with them and see them from a different viewpoint. From the time we are teenagers until we are elders who no longer face those several cycle of life, we fight our way through our emotions, physical turmoil and barriers in any manner. Survival oft times seem out of reach or impossible.
Life was a great challenge to me during those cycles because of cancer in the family, death of both parents when I was young, attempting to raise a disturbed teenage sister, cope with severe illness in my children and eighteen years of a disastrous marriage. I read self-help books, prayed and drove my friends away through complaining and whining.
If I had had available to me a book like this one, which helps us to analyze our situation and then how to meet it, work with it, and as time passes, understand that we as individual do not stand alone. We have within us tools of self-analyzing, speaking to our higher self or God-given guidance, which appears through this process of journaling. The journaling takes our time, but there are results and since it is a process of writing and keeping journals, when the same weaknesses or problems arise again, we can look back in their journals, remind ourselves of the solutions, and rise above all to be the confident, satisfied, happy persons that we all wish to be. I recommend this book to everyone who seeks to improve their life.
